uPVC – Multi Point Locks
LockAid 24/7 are uPVC door specialists.
There are a number of reasons why a UPVC Door or Window lock will need repairing if it is broken or damaged, we may either be able to fix the problem there and then, usually by replacing component parts, or you may need a lock replacement. If a replacement multi point lock needs to be ordered in, our Locksmiths can usually fit a temporary lock so you can still use your door in the meantime or secure this door if you have another door to use.

UPVC door locks are commonly fitted to many domestic home front, rear and side doors, but also to double French doors and patio doors. Many homes now have Composite doors, which are also fitted with multi point locks.
British Standard Locks Available
To check if your locks are British Standard, look out for the British Standard Kite Mark, along with the British Standard number such as BS3621.
There are a few common domestic locks, Mortice Sash or Deadlocks, Euro Cylinders, Rim Cylinders and Nightlatches. If you live in an older property, your locks may be British Standard but the kite mark might not be visible at first glance. Some locks will require removal from the door to check if they are British Standard.
It’s best to leave removal of a lock to a Locksmith as you could risk damaging your door or locks.
